Defiant Nancy shows no fear of the sack but the Parkhead faithful display fury following derby defeat.
The under-pressure manager stated he was not afraid of the sack, claiming, “We are really close to changing our fortunes,” even after edging perilously close to the chopping block with a heavy loss to their arch-rivals.
A Second-Half Capitulation Results in Old Firm Disaster
The Hoops had led Rangers at the interval but a second-half capitulation let Rangers to draw level on points with the current Scottish Premiership champions. The former MLS manager, who was brought in from Columbus Crew, has now been in charge for six defeats in eight fixtures.

“It’s the results [that leads to pressure]. So this is the reality for the moment. However in stating that’s how it is, that is not a sign that I am a defeatist guy. Absolutely not. My point is the turnaround is near, really, really close to turn things around.”
Focus on the Details
The coach remains focused on the fact his team can perform strongly for one half at a time. Indeed, were it not for poor finishing they could have been greater than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit except the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I know that we lost, but it's important to stay fair.
“The level we had at stages was of top quality. This is the reality. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was different. But that’s why, when it comes to wins, I said this is the same story. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. Currently: details, details, details.”
“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, once more. However comes down to sustaining it. My narrative would be different if it was not the case. Therefore I am a big believer the team can to turn things around.”
Röhl’s Cautious Stance
Danny Röhl was cautious about a title charge despite what felt like a huge result. “We take it game by game, then we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The confidence in the group is immense.”
